Kinaya comes across
as immature and overprotected in the first half of the book. I wasn’t sure that
I would like her at first but as the story progressed her strength of character
started to emerge and I started to enjoy her progression.
Her twin brother
Blaise I couldn’t get connected to as his immaturity though perfect for his age and the storyline annoyed me. I really tried to like him and give him a break but he needs to
mature up some before he should be made Alpha. I do think his character will round out and mature in the next
book.
But Alekk the messenger
from the Scarred Prince really got my attention. I loved his mysterious
character and how he refused to give out any information. There was something
so hard about him that it was scary. Yet I could feel he was intrigued with
Kinaya and as rough as he was with her I think he was holding back quite a bit
from his usual actions.
The ending leads into the next book and creates a need to know how Kinaya and the Scarred Prince deal with her wedding proposition. And even more important where Alekk fits into the scenario.
This book is a
quick read and an interesting storyline. I give it 4 stars and am heading over
to read the next book Bride to the Alpha.
