The third tunnel explodes only blocks away, and before I can melt through the cold betrayal chilling my nerves and find anything to say, the Major turns away.

~ My Review ~
This is the third book in the Shifting Fates and it continues in the great writing style of the two authors. If you read the first two books and I recommend you do before this one, then you probably were wondering who was going to do the betraying. Once again the authors added some twists to this book, which will surprise the reader.
I love the detail they give during the militaries invasion to kill all shifters. You can feel the fear all around you as well as the despair and heart break as innocent people die. This is not a graphic death or war novel. In fact it really is a beautiful love story of Bindi protecting her family made up of orphan shifters and a budding love for the enemy, Cage. Don't get me wrong there is ugliness going on with Major but it doesn't over power the story.
This book is riddled with mistrust, betrayal from loved ones, learning the truth about his brother's death and decisions that changes Cages life.
I am so intrigued with this series that I have already started reading Shifting Fates: Book Revenge 4 and will move straight through to the last book in this series Shifting Fates: Book Escape 5
