She has twelve nights to save his soul.
Fulfilling a childhood promise, Ashley Dumont returns to an ancient Druid garden in the Black Hills of Scotland on the eve of the winter solstice—a time when magic hums and the veil between realms thins and tears, allowing all manner of supernatural creatures through. Will the ghost who claimed to be her destiny still be there?
Caelan Innes awaits her arrival. Unjustly murdered in the sixteenth century, a second chance at life depends on this woman. The Druids grant them the twelve nights of Yule to find love and save Cael’s soul. Will a trip through time and the treachery of enemies make the sacrifice too dear?

With treacherous winds and snow-covered roads, Riley found refuge at a small bed and breakfast as he waited out the storm. But little did he know that his arrival was not by mere chance.
Once upon a Winter Solstice
By Victoria Zak
What if all moments throughout time existed at once? What if you had a love that stood the test of time? Never faltering, never fading. What if one legend brought both time and love together as one? Once Upon a Winter Solstice is dedicated to those who believe in true love.
What a intriguing idea three stories designed off of a legend written in their personal styles and storylines. I absolutely loved all three stories.

I am very familiar with this author and was excited to read another of her time travel stories. This story uses flashbacks throughout the story from both the POV of Ashley and Cael as well as time travel. There is a wee bit of murder, lots of mystery and of course my all time favorite LOVE. The story is woven in a manner that holds the readers attention to the very end.
Make sure to read my INTERVIEW of Author Dawn Marie Hamilton and my other reviews of her books located in that post.
Riley has a type A professional personality. Hot in a suit, busy working on his professional career and no time for a relationship. A perfect story on time travel where the author keeps you wondering what time they are in while moving the reader flawlessly back and forth. This is a lovely romance sprinkled with a little bit of mystery and danger.
Once upon a Winter Solstice by Victoria Zak
Ivy is a time traveling heroine that is very sentimental about family and a mystery to Laird Kellen MacLachan. This story is about a lost love and the possibility that this love being found again. You'll have to read this heart warming story to find out though.

Dawn Marie Hamilton dares you to dream. She is a 2013 RWA® Golden Heart® Finalist who pens Scottish-inspired fantasy and paranormal romance. Some of her tales are rife with mischief-making faeries, brownies, and other fae creatures. More tormented souls-shape shifters, vampires, and maybe a zombie or two-stalk across the pages of other stories. As a member of Clan Hamilton Society, Dawn Marie enjoys attending the Grandfather Mountain Highland Games and Gathering of the Scottish Clans, which take place near Highland Gardens's fictitious town of Anderson Creek, North Carolina.

Growing up in the sister city to Stirling, Scotland, Scottish flare was abundant throughout Dunedin. From her High School band to the annual Highland Games that took place right across the street from her childhood home, the bagpipes beckoned her toward her calling. It seemed only natural for Victoria Zak to want to write in the Scottish historical romance genre. Add to the fact, she was also a paranormal romance junkie, there was no doubt that her influences would be the driving force behind her stories.
Although, she never sought out a writing career, her desire for the written word grew the more she read. Her love for Scotland, curiosity of history, and passion for romance has inspired her to write her first book, Highland Burn. The Guardians of Scotland series continues this winter with book two, Highland Storm.
Today, Victoria Zak lives in the sunshine state with her husband, two beautiful children, and three furry friends. Living in paradise, being a stay at home, and to be able to share her stories has been a blessing.
Victoria loves to hear from her readers.
