This week’s question is submitted by Elizabeth at Silver’s Reviews!
Are you able to read in the car?
I can't read a book in the car but for some reason I can read a Kindle, Nook or iPad in the car. I am not sure why this would be true but a book makes me dizzy and sick to my stomach. Of course, I still read books in the car......I LOVE reading. I just never looked out the windows and would shut my eyes and sleep about 30 minutes before we got to our location.

I wonder what it is about e-readers or other similar devices that make it possible to read over print books in the car . . . Neither is a problem for me and so I can't really relate to that phenomenon. I don't often read in the car anymore, more because I'm either driving or have company I am interacting with. I do like audiobooks now and then.
ReplyDeleteI am not sure but I saw from some of the other participants from the Blog Hop that they have the same experience as me. But I also had Lasik surgery and noticed at that time that I could start to read in the car without getting motion sickness BUT I am usually the driver so it isn't often that I get to read in the car.
DeleteGreat you can read on the Kindle.
ReplyDeleteI am ok for the most part.
Were you in the linky list? If so, I somehow missed your post and found it on Google+. :)
Hope you are having a good weekend.
Happy Hopping!!

I see you in the linky list. :) I haven't looked since Friday.
DeleteElizabeth. I just did it earlier today. I have been very busy sewing costumes for Peter Pan.
DeleteWhat fun...love Peter Pan!!
DeleteHow interesting that reading a printed book in the car makes you feel dizzy, but you have no problem with a Kindle, Nook, or iPad. Must be because the screens they've been manufacturing lately make reading easier on the eyes. Hmmm. Maybe I should invest in a Kindle. However, I do have the Kindle app on my Android phone, and have already collected 100+ ebooks on it. I find it pretty easy to read, too. However, since a regular Kindle has a bigger screen, maybe I should invest in one. It's weird, but for some reason, I feel that I would be "betraying" printed books if I actually bought a Kindle. Yet, I have the Kindle app. Go figure..... Lol.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by and commenting on my own BBH post! Happy Reading wherever you happen to be! :)
Try the Kindle you will be amazed. Or get a Nook Color. It allows the installation of the full Kindle app so I take my Nook and read both Kindle and Nooks on it.
