ARC Review The Alpha's Justice by Michelle Fox

~ Categories ~ Paranormal romance, Paranormal Shifters

~ Blurb ~

He believes he’s found his fated mate, but all she does is kick him in the balls.

Gretchen Halbmond became a diehard Daddy’s girl the day her mother ran out on them both. She doesn’t believe in love and isn’t looking for it, but when her ailing father is attacked and left bloody by wolves on the wrong side of the law, she goes out in search of what she does believe in: Justice.

Sheriff Talon Garde has way too much on his plate. Humans have breached shifters' carefully guarded privacy and are about to go public. If he can’t stop them, what happened to Gretchen’s father is going to be the least of everyone’s worries.

More importantly, despite Talon’s rep as a bad ass alpha whose growl strikes fear in the hearts of criminals, Gretchen’s scent makes him go all squishy inside. She’s THE ONE, he’s sure of it. There’s just that small matter of convincing Gretchen it’s pointless to fight fate…and perhaps wearing a cup.

Standalone novel with NO cliffhanger.

~ My Review ~ 4.5 STARS
This story deals with dubious outcasts from the packs and all the mischief they cause that Talon must deal with and Gretchen is a victim of. There are some exciting fight scenes and some scenes that were so well written I swear the hair on my neck went up.

I love a story with a very strong women as it main character. Gretchen is ready to take on everyone and starts to wreck havoc as she frantically tries to keep herself and her father safe. Her refusal to acknowledge true mates do exist and she is Talon’s is amusing to watch. She is constantly butting heads and egging him on. I really feel quite sorry for him, as she sure knows how to put him in his place.

The author has created an alpha no nonsense type of man that everyone fears in Sheriff Talon Garde. His character deals in facts and chain of command and he doesn’t take bullshit from anyone especially Gretchen. This poor guy is so confused with his reaction to Gretchen he responds to her in ways he has never done before. I love that he gets what she is saying though it confuses him. I also like that though he wants to force her to except it he gets control for his wolf and backs down.

I give this 4.5 STARS for the way she wrote what I consider “dark scenes” with such finesse.

I was given this ARC for an honest opinion.

~ About The Author ~
USA Today and NY Times bestselling author Michelle Fox lives in the Midwest with her husband, kids, the occasional exchange student and two sweetly disobedient dogs. She loves fantasy and romance, which makes writing paranormal romance a natural fit. She also thinks her readers rock and always enjoys hearing from them!
In addition to writing, Michelle is the founder of the Wolf Pack, an active Facebook community for shifter romance fans. Plus, she helps run various author coops including Red Hot Audiobooks and Insatiable Reads.
In her spare time, she's been known to shake her bon-bon at Zumba, make spectacular cheesecakes, hoard vintage costume jewelry and eat way too much ice cream (Ben and Jerry's Karamel Sutra for the win!).
