Three magical holiday love stories...

By Dawn Marie Hamilton

He has twelve nights to gain her love.
She has twelve nights to save his soul.

Fulfilling a childhood promise, Ashley Dumont returns to an ancient Druid garden in the Black Hills of Scotland on the eve of the winter solstice—a time when magic hums and the veil between realms thins and tears, allowing all manner of supernatural creatures through. Will the ghost who claimed to be her destiny still be there?

Caelan Innes awaits her arrival. Unjustly murdered in the sixteenth century, a second chance at life depends on this woman. The Druids grant them the twelve nights of Yule to find love and save Cael’s soul. Will a trip through time and the treachery of enemies make the sacrifice too dear?

Stars and Stones
By April Holthaus

Riley Kincaid was a man who thought he had everything, until fate intervened. While traveling to London; only days before Christmas, a fierce storm blew in forcing Riley to land in Scotland instead. With treacherous winds and snow-covered roads, Riley found refuge at a small bed and breakfast as he waited out the storm. But little did he know that his arrival was not by mere chance.

Once upon a Winter Solstice
By Victoria Zak

What if all moments throughout time existed at once? What if you had a love that stood the test of time? Never faltering, never fading. What if one legend brought both time and love together as one? Once Upon a Winter Solstice is dedicated to those who believe in true love.

What a intriguing idea three stories designed off of a legend written in their personal styles and storylines. I absolutely loved all three stories.

Twelvetide by Dawn Marie Hamilton
I am very familiar with this author and was excited to read another of her time travel stories. This story uses flashbacks throughout the story from both the POV of Ashley and Cael as well as time travel. There is a wee bit of murder, lots of mystery and of course my all time favorite LOVE. The story is woven in a manner that holds the readers attention to the very end.

Make sure to read my INTERVIEW of Author Dawn Marie Hamilton and my other reviews of her books located in that post.

Stars and Stones by April Holthaus
Riley has a type A professional personality. Hot in a suit, busy working on his professional career and no time for a relationship. A perfect story on time travel where the author keeps you wondering what time they are in while moving the reader flawlessly back and forth. This is a lovely romance sprinkled with a little bit of mystery and danger.

Once upon a Winter Solstice by Victoria Zak
Ivy is a time traveling heroine that is very sentimental about family and a mystery to Laird Kellen MacLachan. This story is about a lost love and the possibility that this love being found again. You'll have to read this heart warming story to find out though.

Dawn Marie Hamilton dares you to dream. She is a 2013 RWA® Golden Heart® Finalist who pens Scottish-inspired fantasy and paranormal romance. Some of her tales are rife with mischief-making faeries, brownies, and other fae creatures. More tormented souls-shape shifters, vampires, and maybe a zombie or two-stalk across the pages of other stories. She is a member of The Golden Network, Fantasy, Futuristic & Paranormal, Celtic Hearts, and From the Heart chapters of RWA. When not writing, she's cooking, gardening, or paddling local creeks with her husband.

Enamored with everything Scottish, it's no surprise Scotland is the setting—along with the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina—for Highland Gardens, a Scottish historical time-travel fantasy romance series.

As a member of Clan Hamilton Society, Dawn Marie enjoys attending the Grandfather Mountain Highland Games and Gathering of the Scottish Clans, which take place near Highland Gardens's fictitious town of Anderson Creek, North Carolina.

A Jersey girl at heart, Dawn Marie lives in Southern Maryland with her husband.

Growing up in the sister city to Stirling, Scotland, Scottish flare was abundant throughout Dunedin. From her High School band to the annual Highland Games that took place right across the street from her childhood home, the bagpipes beckoned her toward her calling. It seemed only natural for Victoria Zak to want to write in the Scottish historical romance genre. Add to the fact, she was also a paranormal romance junkie, there was no doubt that her influences would be the driving force behind her stories.

Although, she never sought out a writing career, her desire for the written word grew the more she read. Her love for Scotland, curiosity of history, and passion for romance has inspired her to write her first book, Highland Burn. The Guardians of Scotland series continues this winter with book two, Highland Storm.
Today, Victoria Zak lives in the sunshine state with her husband, two beautiful children, and three furry friends. Living in paradise, being a stay at home, and to be able to share her stories has been a blessing.
Victoria loves to hear from her readers.

INTERVIEW with Author Michelle Fox

Welcome Author Michelle Fox........
i have read and reviewed many of your books and quite honestly look forward to your new ones with great joy. So let's share somethings about you with my readers.

(Readers don't forget to scroll down to the bottom of the article for my reviews of her books)

1. If we were to sneak up on you writing what would the scene look like?
There would be stuff everywhere. I work in utter chaos! On my desk.... A water bottle, a can of seltzer and a mug of tea. I always have a tin of Altoids and some chocolate. Plus, stacks of paper with my notes scrawled all over them. And there's probably a dog sleeping at my feet. Oh, and things taped to the walls; character lists, calendars, things I want to remember. Anything readers send me (Christmas cards, little gifts etc...) can also be found on my desk. (And yes that means I have holiday cards from years past. I don't throw them out because I'm super sentimental!)

2. When did you know you wanted to be an author?
I started writing around the age of ten and I sent my first submission to a publisher when I was twelve. They passed. It was a children's book entitled 'The Witch of Wittinghawk.'

3. What obstacle did you have to overcome to make this happen?
My family told me I couldn't make it in the arts. Since I was so young, I believed them. (Parenting tip: If a kid wants to be an artist, don't kill that! Art happens no matter what and you're just delaying the inevitable. Allow kids to develop their skills so they can hit the ground running as adults<---this makes a material difference in how long it takes to launch their careers.)

4. What is one thing you'd like your readers to get from your books?
I hope they find at least one surprise they didn't see coming and something that makes them giggle. I often ask myself 'what would be a complete surprise here?' and 'what would be funny?' as I'm writing. It helps make the book a page-turner.

5. Of all your book heroes which is your favorite one, what book is he in and why did you choose him?
I really like Tao from First Moon. He has dark hair and blue eyes, which is my personal favorite combination and he's such a sweetheart. Although, I have to say, I'm really loving Ryder from my upcoming book, The Alpha's Fight. He's a former MMA fighter who has a really sweet relationship with his grandmother. I'm a sucker for men who love their nanas--grandmas are the best!

6. How about your favorite book heroine, which is your favorite one, what book is she in and why?
Audrey from First Moon and Chloe from The Alpha's Mate. (Sorry, I have to pick two for this one!)  Audrey just goes through so much as she is changed into a werewolf. She showed up in my head super smart and capable and I admire her a lot. As for Chloe, she rips off someone's head in a major girl power moment. What's not to love?

7. Can you share what this year will look like as far as new books coming out?
I have a new novel coming out this winter, The Alpha's Fight. Editing is taking forever so no firm release date yet, but it's written and done. I'm just whipping it into shape for publication. I have a fun series coming out in late spring that's still top secret, so that will have to be a surprise. But it's new and something you've never seen from me before. I also want to get another Maidens book out and work on some new projects over the summer.

8. What is the most unusual thing about you that others don’t know and you are willing to share
I'm actually really quiet and shy. I'm a nervous talker and if I haven't seen you in a while, I will talk your ear off, but once I've gotten everything out, I shut up. And just in case that's boring...I've met Hugh Jackman twice. Mostly because I followed him all over NYC years ago. He's adorable and very kind. More importantly, he didn't turn me in as a stalker.

(Readers don't forget to scroll down to the bottom of the article for my reviews of her books)

USA Today and NY Times bestselling author Michelle Fox lives in the Midwest with her husband, kids, the occasional exchange student and two sweetly disobedient dogs. She loves fantasy and romance, which makes writing paranormal romance a natural fit. She also thinks her readers rock and always enjoys hearing from them!

In addition to writing, Michelle is the founder of the Wolf Pack, an active Facebook community for shifter romance fans. Plus, she helps run various author coops including Red Hot Audiobooks and Insatiable Reads.
In her spare time, she's been known to shake her bon-bon at Zumba, make spectacular cheesecakes, hoard vintage costume jewelry and eat way too much ice cream (Ben and Jerry's Karamel Sutra for the win!).

REVIEW The Master's Woman by Mina Carter

The Master's woman (Smut-Shorties #5)
by Mina Carter
~ Categories ~ Erotica, Paranormal shifter, romance

The most powerful werewolf in the city. Hot as all the hells. He'd been Cyan's for a night, but her time with him over, Cyan is annoyed to realize Veyr isn't even present to bid her goodbye. Instead he sends his Captain with the Midwinter gown, a sumptuous white dress given to the Midwinter woman to keep. They're considered heirlooms in the making, handed down through generations.

And Cyan doesn't want one. She wants Veyr. But the dress Veyr sends isn't white. It's red. Far from letting her go, Veyr has called for a Claiming Chase. If he catches her, she's his. But first he has to chase her, capture her... claim her. In front of the Council.

The morning after can most often be a hot mess for both parties but I enjoyed where the author took this opening and turned it around on the readers. I like that Veyr knows what he wants and goes for it without leaving a doubt in the readers mind who is in control.

This novella was not as meaty in content as Master of the City but it was the perfect continuance to that story.

~ My Reviews of the series ~

Mina was born and raised in the East Farthing of Middle Earth (otherwise known as the Midlands, England) and spend her childhood learning all the sorts of things generally required of a professional adventurer. Able to ride, box, shoot, make and read maps, make chainmail and use a broadsword (with varying degrees of efficiency) she was disgusted to find that adventuring is not considered a suitable occupation these days.

So, instead of slaying dragons and hunting vampires and the like, Mina spends her days writing about hot shifters, government conspiracies and vampire lords with more than their fair share of RAWR. Turns out wanna-be adventurers have quite the turn of imagination after all...

(But she keeps that sword sharp, just in case the writing career is just a dream and she really *is* an adventurer.)

The boring part: A full time author and cover artist, Mina can usually be found hunched over a keyboard or graphics tablet, frantically trying to get the images and words in her head out and onto the screen before they drive her mad. She's addicted to coffee and would like to be addicted to chocolate, but unfortunately chocolate dislikes her.
