THE HERO’S HOMECOMING
Owen Loughman is a highly-decorated Navy SEAL who has a thirst for action. But there’s one thing he hasn’t been able to forget: his high school sweetheart, Natalie. After more than a decade away, Owen has returned home to the ranch in Texas for a dangerous new mission that puts him face-to-face with Natalie and an outside menace that threatens everything he holds dear. He’ll risk it all to keep Natalie safe—and win her heart.

Natalie Dixon has had a lifetime of heartache since Owen was deployed. Fourteen years and one bad marriage later, she finds herself mixed up with the Loughmans again. With her life on the line against an enemy she can’t fight alone, it’s Owen’s strong shoulders, smoldering eyes, and sensuous smile that she turns to. When danger closes in, how much will she risk to stay with the only man she’s ever loved, in The Hero by New York Times bestselling author Donna Grant.

A new 5 star sexy dynamic action packed military series by Donna Grant that will mesmerize the reader till the last page. This book has it all sexy main characters, alpha males, intrigue, drama, mystery and a well developed plot.

I really am not into military books but I love this author so I wanted to see how she would cross genres and it was no surprise to me that she did an outstanding job. Though I have no experience with weapons or military life this book for me was very believable.

The three disassociated military brothers make their appearance quickly in the book and each one has their own magnetic alpha personalities that every women will fall in love with. This fractured family must work through a past and present that destroyed their family. It will make you cry and give you hope.

The author does a fine job of developing Natalie's character from the rejected high school girlfriend to a mature strong women with a mind of her own. Natalie shows a vulnerable side along with her strong side and the reader will be drawn into her life and how she chooses to live it.

Owen is great, really great though he is a little on the pig headed side, in a good way. I could feel his pain as he worked through past decisions he made through out his life. The author makes him so real that your heart will hurt and tears will come to your eyes.

The Hero is about deep abiding love, anger, hurt, sadness, revenge, making wrong decisions for the right reasons and forgiveness.

I give this 5 STARS and want everyone to give this book a try. Will you?

Received an advance reader copy in exchange for a fair review.

The Legend #3 - my review

Donna Grant is the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of more than forty novels and novellas spanning multiple genres of romance.

She was born and raised in Texas but loves to travel. Her adventures have taken her throughout the United States as well as to Jamaica, Mexico, and Scotland. Growing up on the Texas/Louisiana border, Donna’s Cajun side of the family taught her the “spicy” side of life while her Texas roots gave her two-steppin’ and bareback riding.

Her childhood dream was to become a professional ballet dancer and study under the amazing Mikhail Baryshnikov. Though she never got to meet Baryshnikov, she did make it to New York City and performed in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Later, Donna’s love of the romance genre and the constant stories running through her head prompted her to sit down and write her first book. Once that book was completed, there was no turning back.

Donna sold her first book in November 2005 while displaced from Hurricane Rita, a storm that destroyed portions of the Texas Gulf Coast. Since then, Donna has sold novels and novellas to both electronic and print publishers. Her books include several complete series such as Druids Glen, The Shields, Royal Chronicles, Sisters of Magic, Dark Sword, Dark Warriors, and her new series, Dark Kings.

Despite the deadlines and her voracious reading, Donna still manages to keep up with her two young children, four cats, three fish, and one long haired Chihuahua. She’s blessed with a proud, supportive husband who loves to read and travel as much as she does.
