The characters are fully developed with many hidden secrets that become apparent throughout the story. Every character comes off the page and pulls the reader into who did what and why. I know that I want to go back and read the other books to the series to see how they got together.
It is also a thought provoking story showing how two women overcome their horrible past and how they use it to define the person they became.
