Highland Mist
Druid's Glen Series, Book 1
by Donna Grant

Publisher ~ Tantor Audio
Genres ~ Historical Romance, Paranormal Romance

An honorable laird....

Conall MacInnes was born to a clan that for centuries has been charged with the guarding of the sacred Druids. It's a duty he has always met with a willing heart, until the day his sister, a Druid priestess, goes missing and the very Druids he has protected refuse to help him find the last remaining member of his family. Then a 300-year-old prophecy places a Druid in his hands for safekeeping. It's the chance at revenge he's been waiting for, but is he willing to pay the cost his revenge will demand - the loss of his mate and the future of Scotland?

A willing lass....

Glenna MacNeil wants only to be free, to find the purpose of her life. When she is told to look for the dark laird who would free her, she eagerly goes with the powerful Highlander who fights her clan, not realizing she has set in motion events that will change the course of history.

Druids have always interested me and this Druid's Glen Series is wonderfully chocked full of mystery, intrigue and resistance. I love the storyline with the Prophecy and how the story plays out to ensure a good end to it. In this book we learn what happens to the family of the three girls mentioned in it. This book centers around the baby sister, Glenna, who was kidnaped hours after she was born.

Connell's stubbornness to resist his mate and do the right thing to make the Prophecy come true adds much needed tension to this story. But seriously his stubbornness is understandable and creates this unique story to stand out.

Glenna is not what one would expect with the way she was raised. In fact quite the opposite. But her sweet character is believable because of her isolation force by the murderous MacNeil.

The ending to this story is full of emotion and new beginning.

I give it 4 STARS for being an outstanding read.
