*This story also appears in the "Crimson Desires" anthology*

Lush redhead Indigo Byrne’s greatest form of expression comes through her viola. She pours her soul into her music at the expense of everything else; friends, family, even lovers. But her life changes in a single moment, when a dark presence makes itself known, and her body blooms with a dangerous desire.

After nine centuries on Earth, Caleb Durant believes he’s seen everything this world can offer. With an unblemished record of ending every life he feeds from, the joyful music of living has become the trudging rhythm of mere existence. But when he senses the essence of the curvy young violist, Caleb doubts his sanity. In 900 years he’s felt nothing like it.

When these two outsiders come together, spirits soar, blood flows and long-hidden secrets beg for release. But if Caleb gives her everything—his heart, his soul, and his bite—he may just kill his soul mate.

EXCERPT:
Her sharp intake of breath sent an extra charge down into Caleb’s belly. Whether he admits it or not, every man gets a thrill when he elicits fear. Be he human or vampire. Her hummingbird heart sang through its cage, though even filled as she was with terror at what could happen, still she reached for him. Even as he parted his lips and showed her for certain he was exactly as he claimed to be, she pulled him forward.

The earthy weight of her breast, the divine succulence of her flesh, filled his hands and his heart. Her warmth curled around him in a cloud of perfection. The touch of her silken skin against his threatened to devolve him to the animal level; that of his homeless brethren in the dank alleys at the city’s heart. Eat. Fuck. Kill.

Once again Author Willsin Rowe writes another impactful deeply profound book and hits a home run with this erotic paranormal romance novella that moved me to tears.

Indigo is not your normal Paranormal Romance..... it is much more than that. There are some beautiful musical scenes between Indigo and Ray. The authors musical visionary between a musician and her instrument brought about all the longings and desires invoked via music and caused me head to iTunes and YouTube to hear the music he mentioned.

And lets not forget the unforgettable sexy as hell vampire Caleb. His character though a little unusual and to me lonely, sets off this storyline to perfection.

I give this 5 stars for being deeply profound and it is getting added to my All Time Favorite Books List

I fall in love with a scent, a playful expression or an act of casual intimacy more easily than with physical beauty. When confronted by any combination of those I am a lost cause.
I have done many things over and over. I have done even more things only once. I have half-done more things than I care to admit.

I don't yet know if I can ski, speak Italian or keep calm in a life-threatening situation, but I have my suspicions.

I play bass in a swampy blues band. I love to sing and don't let my voice get in the way.

I am intelligent but not sensible. I am polite but inappropriate. I am passionate but fearful. I am honest but reticent. I am neither stylish enough nor scruffy enough to be cool.
